Want to be a Wilderness Trace Kinfolk?
Sunny yellow walls, little red walkers, blue swings, and the sweetest smiles: Wilderness Trace Child Development provides a safe haven for children with special needs to reach their full potential. Ages birth through five participate in therapeutic intervention to create skills we often take for granted: swallowing, standing, speaking, and improving mobility.
Rooted in advocacy, WTCDC began three decades ago as parents of children with special needs recognized a gap in resources. Today, we serve over sixty children within a six county region. Relying upon grants, special events, and dedicated neighbors, we invite you to join our family. Kinfolk is an invitation to create an impact for the smallest of lives fighting the biggest of challenges. $10 a month for 12 months- Your gift provides breakfasts, therapies, art Supplies, educational moments, equipment for Our Children and a Sense of purpose.

The budget is always tight, so one of the best ways to invest in our work is to make a donation. You can do so by mail if you choose, or you can click the donate button on this page to donate via debit/credit card. Beyond financially investing in our services, we encourage volunteers to gather items for our students including baby wipes, tissues, etc. Volunteers also keep our landscaping in shape!
We are seeking people to donate time, talent, and energy to our kids at the Center. If you are interested in helping out, just drop us a line! We also love to tell our story. If you know of an opportunity we can speak to a civic organization, church group, or community event, please contact us.
Thanks for your interest in Wilderness Trace and the amazing children we educate!
